James Simbouras ^^ Finite and infinite games

June 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Abstract
In 1966, Pierre Cabanne paid an extended visit to Marcel Duchamp for an interview, for his book “Dialogues with Marcel Duchamp.” Cabanne was surprised to find him, at the peak of his avant-garde fame, focused mainly on playing chess.

There are at least two kinds of games;
One can be called finite, which is played to be won; for roles and titles.
the other infinite, whose only purpose is for the game to continue.
Surprise will mark the end of a finite game; it is the reason for the continuation of the infinite.

Art is a game that we play.
What game are you playing?

^^
