Tania Hron ^^ Workshop ^^ The Dystopia-Utopia of Akadimia Platonos: From doom to dawn, or do we want to imagine different futures?

June 6 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In the workshop “The Dystopia-Utopia of Akadimia Platonos: From doom to dawn, or do we want to imagine different futures?“ we will talk about Plato, Thomas Morus, the prophets, the poets, and Ethnobiologist Robin Wall Kimmerer, envisioning different ideas for our relationship with the land: at the place/land where Plato, the author of Politeia, one of the first utopian texts, taught 2500 years ago.

Using techniques of awareness, narration, cultural, historical, philosophical background we will narrate or write, draw, perform different futures: for the park, for US and our relation to THE LAND. And understand what it means to be thankful to the what the plants teach and gift: oxygen, carbohydrates, and lessons about how to not extract but immerse.

Bring your ideas, your hopes, your fears for the future of this park to this workshop, where we shall discuss them – in mindful company with all inhabitants of and around the park.

If you want to read before: Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass; further,  Plato, Politeia; Thomas Morus, Utopia
