The preparation meeting will be held in the Akadimia Platonos on June 24rth at 20:00, meeting point: Monastiriou 140, Kolonos.
Known as the Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog in the West, the waxy secretion from this Amazonian amphibian carries the reputation for being one of the most powerful natural substances to cleanse, clear, strengthen and heal the mind-body-soul connection.
Traditionally, Kambo is used to ensure hunting success by increasing strength, energy, endurance, and heightening the senses, as well as being used as a general jungle medicine to treat snake bites, malaria, infections, pathogens and fever.
Alongside indigenous use, many thousands of people around the globe are recognizing Kambo as being a multi-dimensional healing medicine for a wide variety of illnesses and challenges across all levels of being:
The physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual.
Preparation:
Please abstain from animal products and alcohol in the week before the treatment, and go low on salt and fat in general. Avoid coffee and nicotine as much as possible ideally entirely. This is also recommend in the days after the treatment, to allow the medicine to do its work effectively. An organic-vegan, sugar-and-gluten-free diet with a lot fresh vegetables and not too much fruits is ideal.
In case of chronical illness, drug or medication-intake or surgeries in the last six months please disclose it beforehand. This must be discussed individually.
Please do not eat any meat for at least 2-3days before the session!
On the actual day of the treatment, please skip breakfast since at least 12 hours of fasting with nothing but water or herbal tea prior to the treatment is required.
Please come as natural as possible, without prior use of (non-organic) cosmetics. Skin cream and make-up can reduce the breathing of the skin, and fragrances in deodorants, shampoos, shower lotions etc. can be irritating during the Kambô process since the sense of smell is sometimes immediately increased.
There is no need to fill yourself up with water prior to arriving here, as the two litres have to be drunk right before the actual treatment. It is also not necessary to bring your own water, we will have mineral water here. If you still prefer to bring your favorite water please be aware that for Kambô it should be non-sparkling.
To make the treatment more comfortable, loose clothing should be worn (you might want to bring it extra so you can change). Plain, neutral, light-colored clothes also support the meditative and focused atmosphere of the sessions. Natural-fiber clothing is strongly recommended over any kind of synthetic fabrics.
Women traditionally receive the Kambô on the lower leg and men on the upper arm, though this is up to your personal preference. Depending on this, either shorts or leggins respectively armless shirts or tops are ideal to wear, as it makes the application of the medicine easier and reduces the risk that it will be accidentally wiped off during the process.
Mattress, blankets and pillows are all provided, so you don’t need to bring any of those for your resting comfort after the treatment.
If you work with Kambo it is good to set an intention for the process.
Time-wise you can expect the session to be completely wrapped up after 3 hours. Costs for groupsessions are 60 Euro. If you participate in a series of 3 sessions the price is 150 Euro in total.
The ceremonies will take place in Athens on the 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th of June. It is recommended to participate in as many as possible, but you can also choose to take part in one!
